ah. xfs here too. extending xfs has been around for a while. > > about lvm - extending/shrinking , creating striped LV , determing the > > chunk size, and the devices which are to be in the LV, are we going to > > stay with lvm-0.9 as 1.0.2 is out > i just *hope* diskdrake is compatable with teh new winxp partition formating schematic. or else, allot of winxp users trying a dualboot system and use diskdrake to edit the winxp partition will corrupt the winxp partition (effectivily killing thier winxp partition). i've found resizing the fat32/ntfs winxp root partition with partition magic <=5.x would kill winxp partitions. fixed in partition magic =>6.0. i don't even know if diskdrake doesn anything that might be destructive to the winxp partition. > Beta mean development freeze, that is to say that we will not include > new features in Mandrake Tools. > > Packages freeze will occur after beta 2. > > If you want the packages list on the CD 1 and 2, look at > > https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/cooker.cd This is an excellent idea! when i specified Developement type of install on 8.x, i found that the installer didn't install all the -devels. as such, when building srpm's, i had to hunt down the -devels (without doing a rpm -Uvh --force *-devel, since stuff like kde i don't install). I had to hunt down each cdrom of the 3 cdrom set to find the correct rpm. Maybe a similar (complete listing) html format or text/ascii listing should also be included on all 3 cdroms for users to easily find out what's on which cdrom? *this could be easily done* i pretty much use rpmfind.net to find out other deps and rpm -qi info. > > -- > Warly >
