Don't think that would/should fly.  I use 2.95 for ppc because I need to, but hope not 
to have to do so forever.  The folks with issues with 2.96 need to get a life as it's 
been in use some time and miraculously builds some 1700 packages that work on x86, and 
I'm sure the main distro doesn't care to have all 3 versions and egcs.

Send me the spec diff and let me go over it.
