I don't think I buy into that.

I have used from menu: KDE Control Center/LookNFeel/Style and then I have
checked for 'Apply fonts and colors to non KDE apps' and then I have
restarted Xserver and KDE and no change. But this is not to be supposed as in
~/.kde/share/fonts/fonts.dir contains only a 0. To me that means that KDE has
no way to control the fonts.

In syslog I have:
Feb 4 23:30:23 One09 xfs: ignoring font path element
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF (unreadable)

I have used:
[root@One09 log]# locate TTF
/var/log/TTF ( which is empty)

If instead I search for ttf I found all the relevant fonts and tools.

So to my understanding the Mdk setup is at fault here.

regards
guran
