No, nothing. I think scannerdrake does not even try it and there are no messages generated from sane. If you execute sane-find-scanner it does not search for parallel scanners. But the problem seems to me, that the port section in the mustek_pp only accepts a port adress and not a device. e.g. there is a modified version for umax_pp which accepts devicenames. A workaround is the saned. I configured it and now users can scan too (even from a remote machine), but there seem to be problems when printing while scanning (no wonder)
