linux noapic is supposed to work from 21mdk on

todd> linux-nobiospnp # yeah yeah I know it's not in 2.4.17 any more

biospnp is still quite buggy, it works for quite a lot of peple, but
no way that it will work for a distribution as it stands now.

linux noauto

also works.

It is _way_ better when you only have one kernel, I preffer very much
having one kernel and have to implement the noapic option that having
2 kernels that only differ on that. People are thinking on apic just
now, but look, with you option, you not only need two kernels, you
need:

linux-noapic
linux-nobiospnp
linux-noauto
linux-noapic-nobiospnp
linux-noapic-noauto
linux-nobiospnp-noapic
linux-nobiospnp-noapic-noauto
....

And you have only select 2 random vars, now put that you need that in:

BOOT kernel
UP kernel
SMP kernel
ENTERPRISE kernel

and you will found that easily you need in a short time 1DVD only for
kernels if you follow that route.

Later, Juan.
