What I found was consuming resources, was That I had been using the multiple wallpaper as background, (I had a collection of nice looking females) after using the default background for several days the behavior has improved. It stopped crashing on me, and swap also stopped growing. So, in my case the problems was related to KDE, and not the kernel. I have a normal system again, (But I missed the Pics of those girls!) ;-) sk
