1.  When the hostname and domain name dialog was first presented, did you
enter just a host name or,  did you enter both the host and domain names?

2.  Is your DHCP server and DNS server working together, aka Dynamic DNS?
or is the DHCP server issung fixed IPs based on your NICs ethernet MAC and
the DNS server providing name lookups to these IPs?
