"Mostly" - that's the key term here. Alas samba printing also doesn't work. Someone from the Mandrake team wrote me 1 or 2 weeks ago informing me that there are some known issues and I should try to compile samba by myself. But due to a flaky harddisk, I was kinda offline last week and thus couldn't yet try. So, it seems like 8.2 won't be usable as a print server. I should've spoken up earlier. :( Forgot to mention how samba does not work for me - it will allow me to setup the printer just fine, but in the Windows printer dialog, it will always just say "access denied". But maybe that's what you meant with "except deciding how to do authentication"? If so, could you please tell me howto configure samba so that printing will/should work?
