I think, for DDNS to work correctly with dhcp3/bind8,9 (for example), 
you will want HOSTNAME=silbermann, DOMAINNAME=snv.jussieu.fr

AFAIK, a lot of the adsl providers also only want the short hostname for 
dhcp use.

Depends on the option you pass it. No options should give FQDN.

What did you give draknet?
