I think, for DDNS to work correctly with dhcp3/bind8,9 (for example), you will want HOSTNAME=silbermann, DOMAINNAME=snv.jussieu.fr AFAIK, a lot of the adsl providers also only want the short hostname for dhcp use. > Said in another manner, what should hostname returns ? short or fully > qualified domain name ?
