Actually, both are closely related: hostname with no option returns exaclty 
HOSTNAME setting in /etc/sysconfig/network

draknet gives initial setting. I modified /etc/sysconfig/network manually on 
my home machines to set up a private network with a DNS, but i have strange 
latency for GUI applications, as if had problems with X authentification.
