Of course, you realize that :
-you are using a outdated nautilus version (we are now at -9mdk)
-you are using cooker packages (even recompiled) on an 8.2 system..

This is NOT supported by anyway.. So, before posting bug reports about
cooker packages, ensure your system is FULL cooker..

-q is for quitting nautilus.. Since nautilus is used to draw desktop, if
you quit it, you'll lose all your icons ...

I think you probably are running old version of GNOME2 platform on your
system..

Again, update to full cooker..

And check for errors messages in ~/.xsession-errors
