-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I had the current OpenOffice.org from cooker installed, but it was giving problems. It wouldn't set the templates directory, and it seems this is due to the fact that it is not saving any preferences (which I see on the next start, when other settings have reverted).
Installing -3mdk compiled on 8.2 iwth gcc-3.0.4 fixes this, so it is either a regression (3mdk->5mdk) or a gcc3.1 issue. Maybe this is resolved in OpenOffice.org 1.0.1 ? So that makes two big players which have just hit 1.0 that don't really work fully with gcc-3.1 (Mozilla and OpenOffice.org). Hopefully these can be fixed before betas start ... (although I am not too optimistic about Java/Mozilla :-().
