Just FYI, I got this recently, but it was Partition Magic error #113
(Partitions Overlap). I had the disk set up as:
Win2K Primary
Free Space
Linux primary (MDK 8.2)
Linux Swap primary
I told 9.0beta2 to create a Linux ext2 in the free space, and it created
a W95 extended partition (type 0f) with a single logical partition of
ext2. I'm not sure why it didn't just create a fourth primary. Anyway,
it apparently set the size of the extended partition to include not only
the free space, but the rest of the disk as well.
At the time, I wasn't sure how this had happened, and it slipped my mind
until I saw this post....
