It may not have been diskdrake. While the extended partition was there, PM6.0 would complain that it overlapped the primaries which followed, and should be truncated to include just the logical. If I let it do that, it would complain next time that the extended partition needed to be extended to cover everything again. I finally just deleted the extended partition and manually created a primary.
