How about MyDNS? http://mydns.bboy.net/ It does require a recursive server along side.
I collect a lot of information about "bad guys" and would like to respond more quickly and, more importantly, automatically. An SQL database would make this more feasible. I have had a few cases where BIND 9.2.1 failed catastrophically on reboot. I am setting up standalone DNS servers to avoid the issue but dumping BIND is attractive.
