I just don't see that it's a good idea. Integrating them into one gives a false impression of how Linux works. It implies that the GUI is the distribution, which it isn't. There's a unified control centre in Windows because everything is unified in Windows. There isn't in Linux because everything isn't unified. Your DE's control centre and the distribution's control centre do separate jobs and shouldn't be unified. -- adamw
