        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED

          Priority: P2
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello,
I'd like to request that the permissions off the device for usbscanners is a bit
loosened. Currently /etc/security/console.perms sets it to root.root 600
That way a user cannot use it by default. If it gets set to root.usb 660 it should be
better imo.
For scsi scanners this is already the case (/dev/sg).
I have updated the patch that is in the pam.src.rpm for that. I will attach that,
renamed
to pam-0.75-mdkconf1.patch.bz2 (note the 1).
