------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-01-20 00:40 ------- Created an attachment (id=95) --> (https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/attachment.cgi?id=95&action=view) updated patch for /etc/security/console.perms ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] description: Hello, I'd like to request that the permissions off the device for usbscanners is a bit loosened. Currently /etc/security/console.perms sets it to root.root 600 That way a user cannot use it by default. If it gets set to root.usb 660 it should be better imo. For scsi scanners this is already the case (/dev/sg). I have updated the patch that is in the pam.src.rpm for that. I will attach that, renamed to pam-0.75-mdkconf1.patch.bz2 (note the 1).
