I've heard your opinions before, and I respect them. I'm still looking
for an official statement from mdk (and the resulting actions) about the
alpha port. If mdk doesn't have the resources to maintain it, then kill
it. It's a waste of resouces and a waste of the shareholders investment,
right?

Or give to poeple who want support it the permission to do it !
Maybe one day, Mandrake will have more ressources to come back on this computers, and rpms will be ready !

As I've said before:
- rebuilding a dsitro for another arch doesn't cost much resources, if you do it right
- my goal is to improve the quality of the rpm's, so that they can be built on different archs, in the correct way (basesystem + rpm-build + BuildRequires only)
- and yes, if a new arch comes out (or an old one rises from it's grave) we'll be better prepared

Get back to business. :-)

PS: time to trade in the alpha for a ppc?

We will resist... Stefan, join the non-X86-mdk team, and resist with us to the dictatorship of intel compatible ;)

Oh wel... :-)

We can survive ! we will survive !

:-))
