Just tried Beta 3 and the problem is still there... :( 
 
I also tried booting with a diskette (network.img from the 9.1 beta 3 CD) and doing a 
ftp 
install instead. Same problem here. I never get the network up so that I can establish 
a connection to the ftp server (the network boot diskette on the 9.0 CD worked fine 
btw). 
Is it a kernel error?

With Mandrake 9.0 it works fine.
