In standard mode, I get the following: 'trying to access Mandrake Linux CDRom Disk' 'Could not uncompress second stage ramdisk. This is probrably a hardware error while reading the data. (This may be caused by a hardware failure or a linux kernel bug.' in expert mode, reading the logs, I get: *Found a Mandrake Linux CDRom Good News! *Trying to load /tmp/image/Mandrake/base/mdkinst_stage2.bz2 as Ramdisk *reading compressed ramdisk: IO-error *unsetting automatic ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEW creation_date: description: After booting from DISK 1 the GUI pops up, after I hit enter to start the install I get an error. (this may be caused by a hardware failure or a Linux kernel bug) After I hit OK the GUI closes and I see this on the screen: error in exec of stage2 :-( trying to execute '/user/bin/runinstall2' from the installation volume, the following fatal error occurred FATAL ERROR IN STAGE1: Exec format error I can't recover from this.
