and what is wrong with pouring boiling water into a pot to make coffee? do you not use boiling water when you make a cup of tea or hot chocolate? I know I do so pouring boiling water into a pot to make a hot cup of coffee isn't too intense for me to do. If you cook you get greace that might spray you when your frying a steak or bacon.
