ALMOST CANDY BARS USING A CAKE MIX
1 (18.25 oz) pkg Pillsbury Moist Supreme Devil's Food Cake Mix
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup (6 oz. pkg) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup coconut (if desired)
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
Heat oven to 350F. In large bowl, combine cake mix and margarine; with pastry
blender
or fork, cut in margarine until crumbly.
Sprinkle evenly in bottom of ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan (jelly roll
pan); press lightly.
Sprinkle with butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, coconut and nuts.
Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all ingredients.
Bake at 350ºF for 20 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool
completely. Cut into bars. Makes 48 bars.
