Although I own some Tefflon pans, I prefer my old aluminum cake pans that don't have the nonstick coating, and to grease them myself. I also have a few stoneware baking pans and casseroles I like very much, as well as glass ones. Sometimes cakes get done faster in the glass pans. With aluminum, stoneware or glass, you also don't need to worry about scratching, as you would with the Tefflon ones.

I like silicon pans. You can use them in the oven or microwave, and they're nonstick. I probably would like to have round and square shapes. I'm more interested in quality of material and characteristics leading to good cakes. I have a versatile range, in other words, I can bake with convection, or special cake setting or, of course, regular baking. I'm open to stoneware or metallic pans. Looking on sites on the internet, drilling down to recommendations seems to be somewhat difficult. So, any advice will be appreciated.
