Also have a place ready to put that broiler pan down.  You will probably not 
want to put it right on your counter top.  Think about if you would not place a 
pot you have just taken off your burner on a surface then don't do it with your 
broiler pan.  I have a silicone mat that I hate for baking but love it for 
keeping on my counter and placing my cast iron pots and/or lids and any other 
hot items (besides me?smile)

   Hello invest in a good oven mit pan will be very hot.  As others have 
mentioned cooking is very quick and it is easy to over cook meats especially 
fish.  Find a cooking chart with times and temperatures.  Also, when you 
take the pan out of the oven be very careful in keeping it straight as 
possible.  My dog ended up with a new york strip, she ate well that day, 
even if it was only half cooked.  She likes her stakes rare.
