You're probably right. I will try to find an electric knife here and tell you all about my experience with it.

I think one would be much less likely to cut a finger with an electric knife than with a traditional knife, or something like an electric slicer. You have to push a switch to turn the knife on, so you are aware when you are turning it on and off, which would, I think, make it much less likely for one to turn it on when a finger was in the way.
