I prefer this way because it is less messy than frying on the stove at 7:00 AM. (grin)
Oven FRENCH TOAST Ingrediants: 4 eggs 1/2 cup milk 2 Tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 6 slices day-old thickly sliced bread *Known as Texas toast* Well greased 9 x 13 glass baking dish Preheat oven to 375 degrees whisk eggs with milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in shallow bowl. Dip bread into mixture, coating both sides, allowing bread to soak up mixture. Hint: Use flat bottom pie plate for coating bread. * Do not let bread become overly soggy* Spray glass dish with non-stick oil. Place bread in single layer in dish Bake for 30 minutes. Toast should be crispy and lightly spongy to touch when removed from oven. Serve with syrup. . You can use any thick sliced bread.
