Slow Cooker Barbecued Beef or Pork
This delicious recipe will have all the family just dying to eat it before it is done. Enjoy a 24-hour aroma that is so very tasty and also a great crowd pleaser. Ingredients: 4 lb. boneless chuck roast or pork picnic 1 1/2 cups ketchup 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup vinegar 2 Tbsp. Dijon-style honey mustard 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. liquid smoke flavoring 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic powder Directions: In a crock pot combine ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place chuck roast in a slow cooker. Cover, and cook on high for one hour then turn down to low and cook for 8 to 10 hours. Remove chuck roast from slow cooker, shred with forks, and return to the slow cooker. Stir meat to evenly coat with sauce. Serve on hamburger buns or your favorite seeded bun. Servings:14.
