This was Frank's favorite way to eat liver.

BEEF LIVER/ONIONS TO GRAVY 

 

4 slices of beef liver

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. black pepper

1/3 tsp. unseasoned meat tenderizer

1 onion, sliced

1/3 c. vegetable oil

1/4 c. flour

1 1/2 c. water

 

Place oil in 8 inch skillet. Fry liver on both sides for 5 to 7 minutes on 
medium heat. Remove liver from skillet and set aside. Then add flour to skillet

and stir continually until brown. Add water and onions then bring to a boil. 
Add liver and simmer for 20 minutes.  Enjoy.
