When a recipe requires sugar are they refering to the White sugar normally 
unless mentioned? I forget what the name of the White sugar or if there is a 
name for it. Granulated or something like that? Brown sugar is just brown 
sugar.

EGGNOG ROLLED COOKIES

1 cup  Butter
2 cups  Sugar
1 cup  Eggnog
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 teaspoon Baking soda
2 1/2 cups  Sifted flour

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggnog, nutmeg, and soda; mix well.
Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Chill.
Roll out to 1/8 inch thickness on lightly floured surface and cut with 
Christmas cookie cutters.
Brush with slightly beaten egg white and decorate with
candied fruits or colored sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes, or
until lightly browned.
Makes 6 dozen
