PECAN SANDIES

 

1 c. butter

1/2 c. sugar (white)

2 tsp. water

2 tsp. vanilla

2 c. flour

1 c. chopped pecans

 

Method

 

1. Cream 1 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar. 

2. Add 2 teaspoons water and 2 teaspoons vanilla. 

3. Add 2 cups sifted flour and 1 cup chopped pecans.

4. Chill 3-4 hours.

5. Form balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

6. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes. 

7. Cool slightly and roll in powdered sugar if desired.
