I have never tried honey, but, guess it would work and taste good. I always
prefer buttermilk when I have it but most of the time I just use milk. I
don't make it now days like I use to, cause Charles doesn't eat much bread
of any kind and corn bread is not one of his favorites. grin. but nothing
better than a glass of sweet milk with crumbled up corn bread in it and just
spoon it out. Yummy! Katie
I can't do it never yet accomplished anything.
I will try has accomplished wonders

Hi Katie:
Actually, if I have it, I prefer to use a couple tablespoons of honey, seems
to give it a little more body. Also, I like to use buttermilk.

Cheryl,
This one is the southern way we cook it. This is the way I do it and turns
out very good. Sugar is optional, but most like it with the sugar in it.

Subject: [CnD] Request for corn bread recipe
I have never made cornbread but believe it is quite simple.
Can somebody send a basic recipe, plus simple variations, plus other easy
things to make with cornmeal.
I do not use mixes.
Many thanks.

Vancouver, Canada.
