Best to put some thing thicker than a plastic bag over one's hands when retrieving the large pieces of glass; those plastic bags tear from the sharp edges of the broken glass; an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. best to be safe than sorry! I'd use a thick towel or oven mitt and if cloth, toss the mitt into the laundry and also the heavy towel! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lori Scharff" <[email protected]>

Subject: [CnD] picking up broken glass

Regarding broken glass I pick up the large pieces using my hands. To be sure
to get the little "splinters" I vacume all over the place! Really, the
counter the floor etc. I bring the garbage over to where the large pieces
are and place them in the garbage. If the glass appears to be sharp I will
put a plastic bag over my hand to reduce the chances of being cut.
