I wouldn't advise tossing anything with broken glass into the wash. If it goes in with other clothes you run the risk of transferring the glass or at the least damaging the other clothes.
If it is run through alone, you can damage the machine by getting sharp parts in the pump and drain hoses. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandy from OK!" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 30, 2011 7:18 AM Subject: Re: [CnD] picking up broken glass Best to put some thing thicker than a plastic bag over one's hands when retrieving the large pieces of glass; those plastic bags tear from the sharp edges of the broken glass; an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. best to be safe than sorry! I'd use a thick towel or oven mitt and if cloth, toss the mitt into the laundry and also the heavy towel! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lori Scharff" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, January 29, 2011 4:29 PM Subject: [CnD] picking up broken glass > Regarding broken glass I pick up the large pieces using my hands.
