Hi Marilyn, As far as I can tell, the list of ingredients doesn't include cake. But the method doesn't say anything about the Coke. It also doesn't say how much cream cheese.
Unfortunately, my ingredient search didn't show any recipes. Bummer! I liked the idea for this dessert. I did a Google search for CHERRY CAKE JELLO DESSERT. there is a recipe which uses a cake base. You poke holes in the cake with a drinking straw or a meat fork. Then you top the cake with a layer of jello. A pudding layer is put on top of the jello and topped with whipped cream. The idea is that the jello and pudding will fill the holes. A cake mix was used but instead of adding the whole eggs, only the egg whites were included. As you can imagine, the variations would be limited only by your imagination. I apologize for this long description. I thought I could make it shorter than the recipe itself. If anyone wants the actual recipe, make a request and I'll post it. A search for cherry coke jello dessert showed just that: jello, hot liquid (water, coke, 7-up), cold liquid (water, coke, etc.) Sorry I couldn't find anything better.
