Green Asparagus Casserole Recipe

 

For variations on this dish, add 

green peas, cooked cubed celery or hard-cooked egg slices. Also, it may be used 
as an entree if the white meat of chicken

 is put on the bottom of the casserole.

 

Ingredients

. 1 large and 1 small can green asparagus spears, drained

. 1 Tbs. chopped pimento

. 1 C. grated sharp cheese 2 eggs beaten

. 2/3 C. milk

. butter

. cracker crumbs

Directions

 

Put in casserole, in layers, the asparagus, 

mushrooms,

pimento and cheese. Sprinkle top with cracker crumbs. Beat milk and eggs 
together and pour over all. Dot generously with butter and bake in a moderate

oven (325 degrees) about 20 minutes or until lightly browned on top.  Enjoy.
