There are 8 ounces in one cup. I think the sour cream would be 1/4 cup. I use a kitchen scale to weigh cheese to get accurate measurements.

1/2 pound southern hash browns

1/8 cup soft butter

1/4 cup cream of

chicken

3 ounces cheddar, grated

2 ounces sour cream

1/4 onion, chopped

1/2 cup cornflakes, crushed

1/4 stick butter

Instructions

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.



2. Line 13X9 inch pan with potatoes.



3. Mix next six ingredients well. Spoon over potatoes.



4. Top with cornflakes. Slice stick butter over the top , covering as much
as you can.



5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes. Might need to use a bigger pan as
it sometimes runs over, but this is the size from the original recipe.
