One point I can agree with you -- I have little interest in getting recipes
that haven't been tried by a blind person -- I've noticed some recipes going
through here that make me wonder how I'd do half of what they require
without sight.
Understand that many meat recipes throw a lot of broth. I do a recipe with
meat, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, and a chopped up onion, and I always
have about an inch of liquid in the bottom no matter that I put absolutely
no liquid in with the meat. (And I've used roast, steak, pork loin, and
chicken with about the same results) So a minimum of broth is a difficult
thing to achieve unless you have some substance like rice to absorb the
broth. The best way to deal with the broth is to turn it into gravy.

So in light of that, here's one I got off this list, but with modifications:
Title: Poultry And Rice Casserole
Categories: Poultry, Main dish, Crock pot
    Servings: 3

1 cn cream of celery soup
3 ea boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1 tb dry onion soup mix
      ½ c. long-grain rice, uncooked
      1 c water
Combine the soup, water, and rice in a well greased crock pot. Stir well.
Put the chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture. Sprinkle the onion soup
mix over the chicken breasts. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours.
Possible Additions and/or substitutions: Mix the rest of the envelope of
soup mix into the rice soup and water mixture. Add two cups of frozen mixed
vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, and green beans in a "soup mix" work well)
before adding the chicken breasts. With the onion soup mix on the breasts
include a dash of cayenne to taste or sprinkle a bit of green chili sauce on
the breasts before the soup mix. Place a layer of fresh sliced mushrooms
under the chicken breasts. Cream of Onion, Cream of Chicken, and Cream of
Mushroom soups also work for this. Substitute sliced pork loin for the
chicken breast. Include a can of Ro-tel in the rice mixture.

What I'm looking for are recipes for the crock pot in which you do not have
to cook ingredients elsewhere before using the crock pot. I only want
recipes that you, as a blind person, have prepared. I do not want recipes
taken from the Internet that are untried. Mostly, I would like recipes that
are easy, extremely meaty, and that do not result in a lot of broth. No
soups, please. Thanks.
