NUTS AND BOLTS   

1 box Cheerios (reg.)

1 lb. mixed nuts

1 box Rice Chex

1 lg. can cashew nuts

1 box string pretzels

 

Mix all of the above and put in a large roaster pan.

Mix the following:

 

Melt:

 

 

3 sticks butter

 

Mix with:

 

1 tbsp. celery salt

1 tbsp. garlic salt

1 tbsp. onion salt

4 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

3 tbsp. soy sauce

 

Pour over mixed cereal and nuts. Bake at 200 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Stir
every 20 minutes. 

  

MARY'S CHEESE COOKIES   

1/2 lb. butter

2 c. plain flour

1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Pecan halves

 

Soften butter and cheese. Blend in mixer. Gradually add flour, salt and
pepper. Shape into small balls and flatten by placing a pecan half on top of
each cookie. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees or until slightly brown.
Dough will be easier to shape into balls if placed in refrigerator a few
hours after mixing. Yield 6 dozen.
