Sour Cream Pound Cake #1

 

2 cups sugar

1 cup butter

6 eggs

3 cups all purpose flour

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup apricot brandy or apricot nectar

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp orange extract

1/2 tsp lemon extract

1/4 tsp almond extract

 

Method

 

1. Cream butter and sugar.

2. Add eggs one at a time. 

3. Sift together flour, soda and salt.

4. Combine sour cream, nectar or brandy and flavorings.

5. Add alternately with flour to sugar mixture. 

6. Mix gently just until flour is all blended into a nice batter.

7. Do not overmix.

8. Pour into large bundt pan which has been well greased and floured.

9. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 70 minutes or until cake tests done in 
center.
