Even if people can buy basic ingredients from stores and cook them, it's 
recipes that make those basic ingredients more than the sum of their 
parts.  That more than the sum of their parts when it works right always 
adds up to memorable meals.  A knowledge of cooking with as many of its 
skills as can be acquired gets the student the necessary passport and 
ticket for that kind of tasty travel.
