I do my bread with out knowing the amount of flour.
But with the 1 cup white and wheat, here is what I would do.
1 cup water.
1 package yeast
1 tablespoon olive oil
Mix yeast water, oil with the white flour. Cover with a towel and let it sit for a 1/2 hour. Now add the wheat flour until you get the consistency you want with the wheat flour up to one cup. You might have to add some more white flour to finish it off. Now add the salt. and knead to mix in salt. Let stand about five minutes and than knead dough until it feels elastic. 5 to 10 minutes. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Deatherage" <[email protected]>

Subject: [CnD] problem with making east rools

Sent from my iPadHello,
I am in the process of making yeast rools. I used bread flour as well as: wheat flour and rye flour. I used 2 and a half cups bread flour and a fourth cup of both wheat and rye flour. They don't seem to be rising as fast as the ones that I made with justt bread flour. Does it take longer for them to rise? or instead of just one pack of yeast should I add additional yeast.
Thanks for the information in advance.
one thing I enjoy about baking besides eating the food is it brings back memories of my mother when she used to bake cookies and cakes at Christmas oor other times of the year. I also enjoyed balking to her about cooking and learnig some things from her about cooking.
