I think the popper  calls for 1/3 cup of kernels. I would have to have somebody 
double check  for me. I usually just pour some kernels into the bowl and if I 
think I have too many I just put some back in the jar. I have experimented with 
popcorn oil and coconut oil. I prefer using coconut oil as i think it  tastes  
much better. I usually coat the kernels with the coconut oil making sure the 
kernels are and oil are mixed  before placing the bowl  covered in the 
microwave for three and half to four minutes. I usually stop the microwave 
before it's finished so that the popcorn doesn't burn. I will have to ask the 
wattage of the microwave as I do not know that information. I usually pop a 
full bowl by the time it's all done. Sometimes I will add more oil for the top 
and then of course I will add salt.
