OOO, I'll read it; already downloaded, but hadn't paid much attention to it. But now that you say sweet potatoes. How do you find those particular recipes? Sharon

Though not expressly aimed at blind folks, this has a lot of Southern recipes in it along with some reminisces about different family members, and the selection is not your usual fare. Ice creams, wines, game dishes, a bunch of things to do with sweet potatoes, and even some cosmetics are included, and there's an extensive section on home canning. It's a great read for those interested in cooking, and some of the recipes sound amazing. It's nice to see some of the less common things covered, and though I would use a different approach to the wine stuff it's a great introduction to how the process works. I suspect the other things also work as well. This deep south (Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and North Carolina for the most part) cooking in a highly representative manner, told with a framing structure like a family tree instead of by category, and it's a nice approach. If you're on BARD it's worth downloading. _______________________________________________ Cookinginthedark mailing list [email protected] http://acbradio.org/mailman/listinfo/cookinginthedark ----- No virus found in this message.
