I'm thinking that she's referring to those little pats of butter you sometimes get in restaurants, but not sure. Those would be more expensive due to packaging and convenience.

Why? Does the individual tablespoon singles are more expensive than the regular sticks? You said they come in eight in a package? I have not heard of those I've only heard of the sticks of butter but not the single pad the butter
