What did you mean by "Tere e 8 TBSP"? Was it a typo, or an abbreviated way
of writing I don't understand? Thanks.

Subject: Re: [CnD] measuring stick butter question
Tere e 8 TBSP of butter in a stick. Half of that is 4 TBSP. (1/4 cup),
half of that is 2 TBSP, and half of that is 1. You can usually
guestimate, using this information, and come up with an amount that's
close to what's called for in the recipe. One third of a cup is 5-1/2
TBSP., which is about 2./3 of a stick.

They also sell individually-wrapped tablespoons of butter, but you
must mortgage your house to buy it that way. I bought it this way
only once, and I cannot recall if there sixteen pats of butter or only
eight in the box.

You can also buy half sticks of butter. They come in boxes like
whole sticks.
