I have used both, mostly veering towards the milk, and more butter, and they
were great.

I am not sure of adding milk and water together. you can also do the instant
mashed potatoes in the microwave. my wife and I have use two cups of milk,
and they came out good. you may want to add some butter.

Subject: [CnD] Instant mashed potatoes

When I went to the store the other day I bought a whole bunch of packets of
instant mashed potatoes which were on sale. I had somebody read the
instructions to me, and it says to put 2 cups of boiling water in a bowl and
then put the mashed potatoes and stir and then let's sit. Well, what if I
want to use milk? Could I possibly use one cup milk 1 cup water? Or do these
potatoes have so much milk in them that I should just stick to the regular
instructions with the water?
