Everyone in the path of the storms, stay safe and keep well informed!

Here's the brownie recipe I have been making for many years. They are
always delicious and a big hit.

Butter a 9-inch square pan. Dust lightly with cocoa powder. Tap out excess.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate with 2 sticks (1 cup) sweet butter.
Allow to cool while you beat the eggs and sugar.

Beat 4 eggs with 2 cups of sugar. Stir in 1 TBSP. vanilla extract.

Stir in the melted chocolate/butter mixture.

Stir in 2 cups of flour.

You may also add 1 cup of toasted walnuts or pecans, or 1 cup of
chocolate chips or other add-ins of your choice!

Scrape batter into prepared pan.

Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes - Toothpick should not come out clean,
but you do want the top crust to feel firm to the touch when you check
for doneness.

Cool and cut into squares to serve.

To make cream-cheese brownies, spread half the batter into the prepared pan.

Make cream cheese swirl filling by combining 1 8-oz. package cream
cheese, softened; 1/3 cup of sugar; 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract; and 1
egg.

Drop cream cheese filling by spoonsful on top of batter in pan - Use
all of the filling.

Now, drop remaining batter by spoonsful on top of cream-cheese
mixture. If desired, use table knife to swirl fillings - just draw it
across the batter from the top left-hand corner down to the right-hand
corner, and repeat going in the opposite direction, from top
right-hand top corner to left-hand bottom corner. Bake as directed
above.

Delicious!
