When you say "white" rice. I have jasmine longrain rice, will this be ok, or
are you talking the minute rice.
BTW, I made the cheesy hash brown casorol dish you posted this past weekend and
my kids loved it. However, I couldn't help but wonder what else could I put it
in it, like can I put hamburger meet, any vegetables like celary, etc?
If the ground beef is a go, then should I cook it first before I put it with
the casorol?
I get several recipes from here and its helped a lot. I am improving as I
always thought myself to be a terrible cook. lol

Here is how I make mine:
1 cup of white rice
2 full cups of the hottest water
1table sppon olive oil
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon chicken boullion
1/2 can of small tomato sauce
*Chopped red onion to taste

In your skillet or pan place onmed/high heat.
Put olive oil in enough to lightly cover pan.
Place onions in
* you can either chop them up and leave them in or slice about 3-4 rings and
let them simmer till they are transparent about 4 minutes then remove. This
will leave the onion and the oil taste in the pan for a extra seasoning* Put
the rice in and stir a bit so that all rice is covered with oil.
Once you can't hear the rice simmer as much lower the heat down to medium and
place tomato sauce and stir a bit again.
Place your garlic poweder and chicken boullion in and then add hot hot water
and stir slowly with a fork and cover.
Leave alone for a hard boil for about 10 minutes or so.
After the hard boil lower heat to a med/low range and leave to cook for about
20 minutes or so checkeing that there is enough water.
Usually 2 full cups will do you may want to add a bit just in case.
Try not to add once covered and try not to mix or stir since rice will stick
and get mushy.
Sometimes my rice comes out great! And at time it depends on water level it may
get a bit soft, but flavor is always great!
Good luck
