Same with biscuits made with lard. I don't make them now, but my mom used to
and they were yummy!!!!! There's a place near here that has the best
biscuits!!! <g<

Probably they'll change the food labeling again in the 20's and go back and
forth about what's best. <g<

I'd go for the spam myself maybe once a month. Fat is where flavor lives and
anyone who has eaten an almond cookie made with lard knows what I'm talking
about here.
Cutting out fat in diets actually helps increase weight not decrease weight.
New F.D.A. guidelines for food labeling effective as of 2018 support this
finding too. Egg beaters hopefully will be discontinued since it's possible
for people to eat eggs seven days a week and no they don't take cholesterol
damage from them either. Guidelines for sugar are changing too. Added sugar
should be no more than 10% of calories consumed in a day but sugars already in
fruits and the like aren't counted against this 10% limit as they are now.
Finally, calories are in process of going away since calorie counting even for
dieters does not work.
The diet industry has a 3% success rate for people and the success rate is
figured this way. A person goes on a diet say and looses weight.
The test is what is their weight five years after that diet. Only 3% of the
consumers manage to have the same or lower weight they lost in the diet five
years ago. If computers had a 97% failure rate, we wouldn't be communicating
on this internet.
